Pressbox (Press Release) -
After the undeniable success of the iPhone 3GS, Apple has followed up the device with yet another awesome version of the iPhone. After much anticipation, they’ve finally released the Apple iPhone 4 last June 2010. And although it was surrounded by a whole lot of hype before its official launch, a great majority of consumers were not at all disappointed.
The iPhone 4 lived up to all the expectations people had and to some, it even exceeded what they had hoped for in the newest addition to the growing iPhone family.
One thing we cannot fault Apple for is for bringing forth devices that posses their own unique appeal. In fact, we could pretty much credit Apple for revolutionizing the candy bar mobile phone form factor with the release of the first ever iPhone a few years back. Since then, nearly all manufacturers followed suit and what was once a one of a kind design, became an all too familiar template.
The Apple iPhone 4 does not veer away too far from what was once Apple’s incomparable appeal. It still has that same oversized TFT capacitive touch screen display which is accompanied by a single multi-function button right underneath. The display is still at 3.5”, but the resolution has been given quite an upgrade. From having a resolution of only 320 x 480 in the 3GS, the iPhone 4’s screen has been revamped with an unmatched 640 x 960-pixel resolution.
Aside from the display’s resolution, there are also a number of feature upgrades present on the Apple iPhone 4. In terms of mobile phone functionality, the device is now a quad band 3G device.
It still supports all major data connectivity options including EDGE, GPRS, and Wi-Fi, only this time, with higher version compatibilities. The mobile’s camera has also moved up a notch. From a functional 3-Megapixel snapper on the 3GS, the iPhone 4 now sports an amazing 5-Megapixel built-in camera.
The mobile’s operating system has also seen vast improvements. It’s now version 4 of the iOS which is on the device and backing it up is a powerful 1GHz Apple A4 processor. Those who are very particular about their iPhone’s protection will be glad to know that the iPhone 4 has been equipped with scratch-resistant glass back panel.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away. However, an Apple iPhone 4 will definitely keep any consumer happy for a very long time. This Smartphone has succeeded in building on all the strong points of its predecessor, while at the same time working on some of its problematic areas.
Apple has shown that they have listened to the qualms of their consumers by making the necessary adjustments in areas that count. And in return, Apple enthusiasts have given the iPhone 4 the warmest of receptions. The iPhone 4 may not be the best Smartphone we’ve seen this year but come awards season, it will definitely be up there with the rest of them.
