Global Communications Solutions Provider Damovo Acquires PABX Business From Telstra

Three months after being spun out of Ericsson Enterprise Solutions’ Direct Sales and Service Operation, Damovo has today announced that it has acquired Telstra’s PABX maintenance business in Australia, for an undisclosed sum.
The purchase is a key move for Damovo, reflecting the company’s vendor Independent status. Almost three hundred multi-vendor staff and 5000 customers will be joining Damovo in Australia as a result of the acquisition, augmenting the skill set and increasing the annual revenue by 50%.
“The Telstra acquisition represents a perfect fit with our global objective of being the worlds’ leading and independent provider of integrated communications solutions,” said Pearse Flynn, Damovo CEO. "Damovo’s services range from the planning and design, to the implementation and management of voice, data and mobility solutions, utilising best of breed technology. This move will add to our multi vendor competence, whilst significantly expanding the size of our operation in Australia”
Damovo’s Australian Managing Director, Adrian Jensen added, “through our network integration experience we will be able to add value to a large number of customers with multi-branded PABX’s as well as implementing a migration path to evolve customer’s PABX systems to high capacity integrated network solutions”.
Telstra and Damovo have committed to working together through the transition period to ensure that there is no disruption to any of the customer’s business.
