Flyfone a USA based VOIP service provider has developed a product that works with both dial-up and Broadband internet service. The patented technology is a handset, about the size of a mobile phone, and fits into the USB port on any personal computer. The Flyfone handset uses 3rd generation VOIP technology in the handsets.
The service is very easy to use and call costs are amongst the lowest in the industry, 2.9 cents (about 1.6p a minute) a minute to the USA, Australia and many other countries. There is a montly charge of $15 (about £8) and this includes 300 free minutes to a number of countries, including USA, Canada, Australia and many other countries.
The Flyfone service is a fully functioning VOIP product with voicemail, call waiting and many other features free of charge, in addition to this Flyfone to Flyfone calling is free of charge, regardless of the international location.
Approximately 50% of the UK market is still using a dial-up connection and approximately 80% of the world internet usage is still accessed via dial-up.
