CABSAT To Provide One-Stop Opportunity For Buyers & Sellers
Added: (Thu Mar 03 2005)
The 11th Middle East International Cable, Satellite and Broadcasting Show CABSAT (8th to 10th March 2005) will provide key electronic media houses in the region seeking to upgrade their existing systems and technologies with a single-window opportunity to meet buyers and suppliers in a conducive business environment according to organisers Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
"As the Gulf states and neighbouring regions continue to develop, there is a huge demand for the latest in the electronic media sector and CABSAT provides the ideal platform to tap that vast core as emerging economies in the region invest in their infrastructure to remain competitive in this contemporary, technology-led business environment," said DWTC International Project Manager, David Lim.
"With digitalisation, there are now new channels of delivering content and potentially, there are opportunities for new revenue streams and increasing market share through investing in technology. Furthermore, digitalisation can help to reduce cost and time, which is crucial in the fast paced media industry. This trend will continue well into the future as is evident from the numerous cutting edge technologies that have been lined up for a Middle East launch at CABSAT this year," Mr. Lim remarked.
He noted that the regional electronic media industry was still lagging behind in the use of advanced technology as a potent tool and CABSAT would offer exhibitors and visitors from across the region with an opportunity to meet under one roof to explore new business opportunities and get acquainted with the latest trends in the field.
"CASBAT facilitates interface and networking among regional & international players as well as key suppliers and distributors," Mr. Lim stressed.
Most companies use CABSAT to launch or introduce their new products and services and evaluate the response they get during the show to develop a framework for subsequent marketing strategy within the region.
The event which is now in its 11th edition has become a "must-attend event" among electronic media professionals working in the Middle East where programming activities are fast gaining ground, reflecting a dedicated commitment to pursue international levels of professionalism.
"Numerous local programmes are generated throughout the region and Dubai Media City, along with the other Media cities of the Arab World, provides the perfect ambience for the continued growth and expansion of the electronic media industry," observed Mr. Lim.
This year's show will also mark the beginning of the first Middle East Broadcasting Conference, and Middle East Satellite Summit, while also displaying the largest ever communications area, and a new audio pavilion. The conference and summit will focus on the latest developments and opportunities in the electronic media and have been designed to provide a productive experience for the delegates at the event.
CABSAT 2005 has three key elements cable and satellite equipment and accessories in Hall 5, communications in Hall 6 and broadcast and production in Hall 7. The communications sector will occupy its own hall, for the first time.
