Chris Dobson has been appointed marketing director for fast-growing website positioning company WebObjective. Chris joins WebObjective from having run his own consultancy, Mighty High Marketing, where he secured Experian as a major client to create a strategic framework for their consumer automotive products. Previously, he worked at the Automobile Association for four and a half years in senior marketing roles, latterly as head of Insurance Retention, and prior to this was responsible for heading up the highly successful AA’s Car Buyers Guide online project – with a £multi-million marketing budget.
Following private funding, WebObjective is strengthening its senior management team to further develop its brand in the UK and abroad. WebObjective’s unique ‘Intelligent Positioning’ system, developed in-house over a two year period, uses sophisticated technology to identify how to move a website to the first page of Search Engine organic listings and keep it there.
Phil Hendey, CEO of WebObjective, explains: “Chris brings his broad marketing experience to WebObjective to enable us to take the business to the next level - to promote and develop our proven Intelligent Positioning system to website owners across all business sectors in the UK and abroad.”
Chris Dobson comments: “I am very excited to be joining WebObjective at a time when the business is really starting to take off. It is every marketer’s wish to work with a service that offers genuine differentiation within the marketplace, and this is certainly the case with WebObjective’s ‘Intelligent Positioning’.”
Prior to his AA experience, Chris was marketing manager at LEGOLAND for five years where he was part of the team that successfully launched LEGOLAND Windsor. However, Chris’s career first started outside the business arena, having been a professional badminton player - gaining 30 caps for England, ranked top 10 doubles player in the World and winning a Bronze medal in the World Team Championships.
