SamsungCordless' Long Range Cordless Phone Market Ramping Up Output ---
SamsungCordless' long range cordless phones have instant hotbed for marketplace.

(PRWEB) December 21, 2004 -- Asia is the major production base for long-range cordless phones. It currently accounts for more than 98 percent of the total number of long-range cordless phones manufactured and exported. And due to its low labor costs and flexible foreign-investment policies, the production volume looks set to grow as more companies establish an OEM market as SamsungCordless has done early on.

Monthly output depends on demand, SamsungCordless says. Spring and summer are the relatively slower seasons, and winter and autumn are the busiest.

SamsungCordless handsets resemble cellular phones
Samsung is differentiating its products in two ways--external designs and functions. Many new models emulate popular cellular phone handset designs, particularly as compact, lightweight housings become more prevalent. Brighter, trendier colors are also being emphasized.

Aside from taking after cellular phone form factors and designs, some new models are starting to integrate features previously available only in cellular phones, such as polyphonic ring tones. SamsungCordless has taken the path toward convergence and combined long-range cordless phones with walkie-talkie functions. Mostly, SamsungCordless has incorporated support for multiple handsets and base stations, hands free operation and two-way paging.

SamsungCordless' compact sets include base stations that weigh only 1.6kg, and a 13.7x4.1x2.2mm handset weighing 97.5g. The handset runs on a 3.6V rechargeable battery.

The FSK/DTMF-compatible units support multi-channel security, multiple handsets and works with hands free kits. It features caller ID with outgoing call display, and stores the data in the built-in memory banks of the handset and base station. It has low-battery alert, clock and alarm built into the base station and handset. Its power-saving feature extends the standby time. The phone has 100,000 groups of authentication codes for security.

SamsungCordless’ premier product supports up to 10 handsets, each with a walkie-talkie mode. It features FSK/DTMF compatibility, an alarm clock, and a large LCD with changeable LCD backlight colors and 16-chord ring tones. It also supports keypad lock, and any-key call and answer.
