Added: (Mon Jul 12 2010)

Pressbox (Press Release) - PCTI, the supplier of Docman, an intelligent document workflow and collaboration solution for GP Practices announces its launch of iTxT, a SMS and NHS mail messaging solution. This new software module will be provided free of charge to its customers on standard support and will assist them in achieving greater efficiencies and costs savings when arranging appointments for their patients.

The solution will enable their 5000 GP Practices to communicate with patients via SMS or NHS Mail at no cost. With approximately 60% of the UK population owning a mobile phone, busy GP Practices will be able to communicate with patients to arrange appointments instantly, removing the frustration often encountered when trying to make contact by telephone.

Ric Thompson, Managing Director, PCTI “We are pleased to launch this new module to our Docman community, helping practices save time and money whilst increasing efficiency. During these hard economic times, suppliers to the NHS have a duty to come up with new low cost or in the case of iTXT no cost, innovative solutions to drive savings.”

After successfully launching their EDT Solution also free of charge, allowing practices to receive electronic communications from multiple secondary care systems, they have been inundated with enquiries. Both solutions offer opportunities for real cost savings in printing, postage, and telephone, whilst at same improving data quality and patient experience.
