Mantion slides into action with smart motor for shutters

Pressbox (Press Release) - Mantion of France, a manufacturer of sliding systems, has launched a reliable and secure automatic-control bracket system for sliding shutters, which is attractive, easy to install and energy efficient.

Mantion’s automatic-control system combines several technical innovations. It is designed to move panels weighing between 80kg and 100kg, using less than 1 amp. It can be connected to commercially available home-automation systems, and also enables the movement of several openings in parallel or in series using a remote control.

The system is available either in a mains version (LV and low-consumption technology) or with an integral photovoltaic energy option, which makes drilling through walls or electrical connections superfluous. It remains active even in the event of a power cut due to its battery-relay system (electronically rechargeable and guaranteed for four years). It is also equipped with a finger-safe and shutter-fall prevention system. The bottom of the shutter is guided by adjustable oval knobs that prevent vibration noise. In addition, the self-learning feature of the limit switches facilitates the system’s installation and setting.

Mantion’s new system also contributes to the safety of the building where it is installed as it is designed to provide passive intrusion resistance. It can be connected to a central alarm station and transmits a signal if any attempt is made to open it.

The bracket system is installed using plug and play and is delivered ready to mount, with tailored dimensions. There are no technical limits to the length of the openings. It can be fastened under the ceiling, and enables two-leaf shutters (retractable on one side) and four-leaf shutters to be combined.

The bracket system’s aluminium covering skirt blends in with all architectural styles and shutters, whether untreated or painted (available in all RAL shades). Finally, all the components are made of stainless steel to protect the shutter from deterioration over time (rust streaks).
