The Object Management Group (OMG) and its BPMI (Business Process Management Initiative) Steering Committee announced the results of elections appointing Mr. Gilbert to the Committee for 2006 - 2007. This is Mr. Gilberts second term as an elected OMG Committee member, and he previously served on the BPMI Board of Directors prior to the merger of the two standards organizations.

The BPMI Steering Committee provides Business Process Management thought leadership and expertise for the entire industry through education programs, public advocacy, and advice to the combined BPM standards work at OMG. The new BPMI Steering Committee will be educating the market about BPM and how it is integral to initiatives such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) deployments. The company has contributed significantly on the submission of business process specifications including BPDM, BPMN and the forthcoming Business Process Runtime Interfaces (BPRI). The election of Mr. Gilbert to the OMG BPMI Steering Committee again demonstrates Lombardis leadership and commitment to defining and supporting meaningful BPM standards. Lombardis participation in standards bodies such as OMG benefits customers by ensuring product leadership and speeding the general market adoption of BPM.
