Ideal - Free Internet Training at the Arsenal Football Stadium
Ideal is an Internet training programme that is free to businesses in Islington and the Finsbury Park area. The training covers a range of topics and skill levels from basic introductions to IT and the Internet to the development and implementation of Internet strategies.
“An excellent free one day course… demystify the world of web sites” former trainee Clancy Gebler Davis writing in the Evening Standard
The training takes place in the new Red Zone facility at Arsenal’s Highbury stadium, offering candidates the chance to catch a glimpse of the Arsenal stars as they turn up for work.
The training has been devised and delivered by Hyena, a local Internet and IT consultancy firm and aims to continue the work begun by the highly successful Agora project.
“Access to the Internet is like having electricity; as a business you need to use it, but isn’t a license to print money.” Howard Kitto, Ideal project manager and Technical Development Director of Hyena Ltd.
The first course commences in June 2001 and training will be offered every Monday until June 2002. Ideal is funded by the European Social fund and is administered by Islington Council.
