ITM Group strengthens its Web Services division with wireless solutions

Pressbox (Press Release) - London, UK – 1st July 2002 – The ITM Group has strengthened its web services division with the acquisition of the Web:Linc software suite and emerging technology integrator deliver-e Limited.

Through Web:Linc deliver-e integrates complex emerging technologies, such as transactional B2B/B2C web sites and mobile commerce solutions with legacy systems. The application of Web:Linc extends existing enterprise infrastructures, providing a solid foundation for secure and real time collaboration with customers, suppliers, remote and mobile workers.

“With in the last 6 months Web:Linc has successfully provided sales force automation solutions for Coty Cosmetics, Dowe Egberts, G Costa and Premier Papers,” said Terry Wilcox, Sales Director, deliver-e. “This acquisition brings tremendous synergies, as ITM applies its internationally recognised communication and information management capabilities to the deliver-e business model and customer base. Additionally the combined entity brings ‘best-in-class’ web services to the market place. We can now offer a complete solution to SME and corporate customers,” added Wilcox.

Bill Duff, ITM Web Services director enthuses that “ITM can now offer a turnkey solution that integrates to any back office without the need for further capital outlay. The addition of Web:Linc to our portfolio completes our smart enterprise application suite, incorporating transactional web sites, mobile commerce, and document management and collaboration solutions. The Web:Linc acquisition opens up our Pluto content management software to PDA’s, Smart phones and Interactive Digital T.V., (iTV). We firmly believe that wireless solutions, with instant ROI, will rapidly drive businesses and the economy forward, and we have extended our standard offerings with a ‘try-before-you-buy’ model and a hosted service.”

The operations of deliver-e will be fully integrated into the ITM Group. “The combined organisation’s strengths will be in providing businesses with complex wireless and technology deployments, communication solutions and high availability support services, “ said Gary Cottrell. “ We can implement a pilot solution in days; clients can test for immediate ROI.
