DESPATCHBOX SECURES FIRST PKI-BASED 'out-of-the-box' APPLICATION THAT TAKES THE RISK OUT OF EMAIL
- Solution Addresses Growing Concerns Over Email Confidentiality -
- Executives Targeted With Out Of The Box Solution -

UK, 16th May, 2001 DespatchBox, a software company of applications for secure and managed business communications, today launched an 'off the shelf' secure PKI-based application package which integrates with existing email systems - the DespatchBox Datadelivery solution.

DespatchBox's Datadelivery email solution is launched as fear grows over the confidential nature of emails, where they are stored, who can gain access to them and the legal and commercial implications should an email get into the wrong hands. The DespatchBox Datadelivery solution ensures that email is confidential, cannot be lost, can not be captured or forged, the sender and recipient can be positively identified and that a full audit trail of the email's transit is recorded.

Aimed at executives who frequently communicate confidential information including: M&A documents, employment contracts, financial statements, reports and any email, DespatchBox's Datadelivery solution is easy to install, integrates with existing email packages and has been developed to comply with existing and future British Standard Industry (BSI) guidelines for electronic communications.

DespatchBox's Datadelivery combines encryption, message tracking, proof of delivery/non repudiation, tamper-proofing, alerting, and audit trail functionality ensuring that all information exchanged is 'legally admissible' in a court of law.

Extra security can be provided by including two-factor authentication of an executive's identity via an authentication token linked to the user's PC or laptop via a USB port.

As well as enabling executives to communicate sensitive information securely and with ease, the DespatchBox's Datadelivery can save thousands of pounds in courier and faxing expenses.

Jolyon Jago, CEO, DespatchBox, said: "Operating within the digital economy presents many opportunities as well as threats. Conventional email communication whilst quicker than traditional courier services is inherently insecure - effectively the same as sending a postcard through the post. By providing business, with an easy-to-use, legislatively future-proofed solution, DespatchBox is guaranteeing the integrity of email and protecting executives from inadvertently disclosing sensitive information. The difference with this solution is that they don't have to change the way they currently work."

The DespatchBox DataDelivery solution is sold on a licence per user basis, making PKI technology affordable and easy to deploy for any business.
