Added: (Thu Jul 07 2005)

From the National Computing Centre, Manchester, UK. For immediate release, 6 July 2005

Today the National Computing Centre announced their annual conference for 2005, “The Balancing Act - Realising the value of IT.” The theme picks up on a topical issue, how IT decision-makers achieve the balancing act between developing new approaches to differentiate services and reduce cost, whilst ensuring their activities are in line with the wider business goals of the organisation. In the current economic climate, this is a significant dilemma that many IT professionals find themselves in.

The two day conference which will be chaired by BBC Breakfast News presenter Declan Curry takes place in London on the 4th and 5th October 2005. The conference targets four specific areas of concern:
- Delivering the real value of IT
- Governance
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Business Intelligence and Business Innovation
