Pressbox (Press Release) - premiericons.com

Capitalising on the cult of a worldwide bout of football fever that will rise to crescendo during the World Cup, Premier Icons, an Australian animation company, has created a range of world-fi rst, premium quality 3D characters for use on mobile phones as wallpapers and screensavers. What makes these tiny animated personalities unique is that they are accurately modelled on their human inspiration – stars from the realms of sport and
entertainment – with intricate detailing and expression that is superior to anything available from standard suppliers. Some of the largest international sporting and entertainment entities will soon be launched through this form of new media. Dancing, shooting for goals, stretching and moving, each of the recognisable characters bears a striking resemblance to its human
counterpart.
The Premier Icons concept is the idea of Mark Szedzielarz, a passionate football supporter who was convinced that every fan in the world would welcome the chance to feel connected to their favourite team and individual players.
The Premier Icons characters started as a desktop help icon but soon developed into a full 3D animated mobile phone download. The life-like animation inspired Mark to see how the characters could be the way for teams around the world to capitalize on their brand
awareness and allow supporters to purchase a unique piece of “virtual
official merchandise” onto their mobile phones and computers, using the Premier Icons new media format.
With a talented group of three directors, Mark Szedzielarz, IT Director, Hayden Bone, Managing Director and Craig Waberski, Commercial Director – backed up by a support team of animators and IT specialists with a wealth of international experience, plus a UK sales team who have close links in the football and music industries – Premier Icons Is now ready for business.
