Pressbox (Press Release) - Wrexham Football Fans To Protest On Saturday

Wrexham AFC fans will be picketing the vacant Feathers Public house in the town this Saturday as a protest against the pubs owner Paul
Buttivant’s continued involvement in the bidding process for Wrexham
AFC.

The Feathers has recently been refurbished by Mr Buttivant's company
Dubarry Holdings and is currently available to let at £25k per annum
through the Liverpool agents Sutton Kersh.

Wayne Price, a spokesman for the Wrexham fanzine Dismal Jimmy stated
today. "The fans want the Moss/Dickens bid to succeed and we are not happy with Mr Buttivant’s involvement. We have had enough of southern
property developers thinking they can come in and treat our club as
a property speculation.

We will have a petition for people to sign stating that they will
boycott any venture that takes on the Feathers. We are aiming to
deter anyone from renting the pub from Buttivant. Every Wrexham fan
is welcome to join us."

The protest will start at lunchtime and continue till about 2.30
when the petition will be taken up to the Racecourse to enable all
Wrexham fans to sign.

The petition will then be sent to Sutton Kersh.
