Leading UK NLP Sport Trainer gets ready for European Championships

The leading NLP Sport mental coach in the UK is preparing for European Championships in June in Helsinki currently and will once again be putting her techniques to the test for yet another placing.

Emma James has been one of the most successful NLP in sport and sport hypnosis mental coaches in the UK and recently returned from Nepal where she was working directly with the Olympic Committee there assisting their coaches in how to use mental coaching techniques for preparations in the oncoming Olympic Games and Vision 2020.
She has also worked with sports people in Italy, the USA and Spain and also teaches the skills in accredited internationally recognized courses which are mainly run in the USA.

Her own competing career started at age 16 when she first competed powerlifting breaking the British records on her first outing. Her competing career spans 23 years she has coached since age 22 as well.

Since then she has gathered 17 British titles, 13 European and 2 World titles not to mention numerous world records along the way and since becoming qualified and also becoming an accredited Trainer of NLP in Sport and Sport Hypnosis the methods she has used with her own competing which transformed her results.

Emma said “What many people don’t realize is that to work with sports people you need to have been there yourself and be able to understand the problems that competitive sports people can have. Luckily, all the techniques I use I have used myself in order to adapt and identify any problems with the techniques before using them with clients or teaching them.”

The continuing success of the international powerlifter, she puts down to absolute belief in her ability to give 100% when competing and also the fact that she has made mistakes along the way.

In 1996, Emma’s competitive career appeared to be over when she prolapsed 3 discs in her back during World Championships in South Africa when she was told she would never compete again and it would be unlikely she would be able to train again. She refuse conventional treatment and rehabilitated herself and was back in the competitive arena again the following year against all medical advice. From there she went on to win the World Championships for the first time in 2000 and again in 2005.

The WPC European Powerlifting Championships will be held in Helsinki in June 2009 with tough opposition and the World Championships will be help in the UK in October 2009.
