Ski and snowboard simulator centre diversifies into ski wear and equipment

Pressbox (Press Release) - Ski and snowboard simulator centre Realli-Ski has signed a retail deal with top ski wear and equipment manufacturer Salomon.

Realli-Ski will now be offering a selection of ski gloves, beanies, helmets, base layers, goggles and luggage in a variety of trendy and traditional designs and colours for adults and children.

The move is a step towards Realli-Ski’s plans to become a one-stop-shop for all ski and snowboard clothing, equipment and training.

Realli-Ski managing director Daniel Hawkes said: “Many of our customers lead busy lives and want the convenience of buying everything they need for their ski holiday in one place.

“Our aim is to become a dedicated outlet for all ski and snowboard requirements, and we are delighted that we can now offer a range of Salomon items to our customers. Salomon is a highly rated, top quality ski brand.

“Our ski and snowboard instructors will also be on hand to give expert advice on what clothing and equipment will best suit an individual.”

Hand-built by a small team of engineers in rural Kent, the Realli-Ski simulator resembles a large fitness machine, and uses a revolutionary tilting and rolling surface to replicate the feel of moving over snow.

Comprising a safety harness and hand bars, the simulator is suitable for adults and children over three years of age.

A session on the Realli-Ski simulator can help beginners learn up to 15 times faster than on snow or a dry ski slope.

And with no time wasted on ski lifts, a 30 minute lesson is equivalent to five hours skiing on a slope.

Realli-Ski is located at Radlett, near Watford, and Barham, near Canterbury. The centres are open six days a week, September – April; 10am – 10pm during the week, and 8am – 8pm at the weekend. The Radlett centre is closed Tuesdays and the Barham centre is closed Thursdays.

A single ski lesson for a child costs £24 and adult £27. A course of three ski lessons costs £68 (child) and £78 (adult). A single private snowboard lesson costs £46 or a five lesson course costs £189.
