RoadCyclingUK launches new look website

RCUK (www.roadcyclinguk.com), one of the UK’s leading cycling websites, is pleased to announce the launch of a new look and feel for its website. The newly designed site also boasts a new logo, as well as technical improvements and features to enhance the user experience.

The updated site features a new blogs area where editors and a ‘special guest’ can record their own news, daily thoughts and industry gossip. Based on extensive user feedback, the site has created a world-class review system showcasing professional and user reviews with better accessibility and search capabilities for site visitors. The site’s navigation has also been streamlined making it more intuitive and user friendly.

“We wanted the new look site to reflect our desire to be the best in the market,” explains Richard Hallett, editor of RCUK, “And with more than 200,000 monthly unique users during the summer months, we felt like we had something to shout about.”

“Everyone has been abbreviating our logo for years so it made sense to take it to the next level and incorporate that into the logo design,” he says. “The new site has a clean, uncluttered feel that is easy to navigate.”

The design, which is using Magicalia’s latest platform technology, was carried out in-house where the technical team designs websites for client sites as well as numerous Magicalia websites. The investment in the site reflects the revenue growth on Magicalia’s bike portfolio.

“Feedback from the bike industry has been very positive and many of our advertisers are enjoying record breaking growth despite the economic downturn,” says Ed Marriage, publisher of Magicalia’s ‘active’ portfolio. “Clients are looking to build on their summer campaigns by investing more in online advertising in the run up to Christmas. The next quarter will be our busiest for advertising ever and our users can look forward to seeing some really exciting campaigns from some of the biggest bike brands.”
