PRIME TIME SHOOTOUT ANNOUNCES AUGUST HOOPS TOURNEY

The Premier High School Basketball Tournament Directors
have announced a tournament for August 5th through the 11th.
The Prime Time Shootout is annually held in Trenton and is host to
the top teams from High Schools Across the Country. In February,
the event featured 4 of the top 5 teams in the country as rated by USA TODAY.
Included in this years event was Sports Illustrated Cover Athlete Lebron James
from St. Mary St Vincent in Ohio.
Jeff Hewitson, Tournament Director has designed a format to include
48 to 64 teams for this summers event. Games will be played in and around
Philadelphia Pennsylvania as well West Trenton, New Jersey.
" The demand for a summer time tournament has been overwhelming, "states Hewitson.
" We currently have 24 teams from six states with plans to double those figures"
The tournament is open to any club, high school team, or group that can make the trip.
Event Director David Morgan will match teams up evenly for the first three games
of the tourney. After three games the teams will be seeded in three separate divisions
with a single elimination format planned.
The Semi-finals and Final of all three divisions will be played on August 11th
at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey.
The event has designated the Boys and Girls Clubs of America as the beneficiary
of the sponsorship.
