Newbury Rugby Football Club dress up for new Jokers' Masquerade sponsorship deal

Newbury, UK, 13th October 2009 – Newbury Rugby FC is renewing and extending its sponsorship deal with Newbury-based fancy dress giant Jokers’ Masquerade. As well as renewing its commitment to the 1st XV team, Jokers’ Masquerade has broadened its sponsorship to include the club’s mini, junior and women’s sections.
“Many sports clubs are struggling to attract quality sponsors in the current business climate, so this is excellent news for Newbury,” commented Julian Lewis, Director of Professional Rugby at Newbury Rugby. “Having Jokers’ Masquerade as our shirt sponsor across all the teams supports our ‘one club’ vision and gives us a strong identity from under sevens right through to men’s and women’s first team rugby.”
Newbury Rugby Club provides high-quality coaching and competitive games for more than 300 boys and girls every weekend through its Mini and Junior section, and a further 50 boys through its Colts section.
“My son plays rugby, so I have seen the Minis and Juniors at first hand and I know what a fantastic job the club does for youth sport in Newbury,” said Mark Lewis, Managing Director of Jokers’ Masquerade. “That’s why, when the opportunity arose to broaden our investment in the club, we jumped in. I feel it makes a positive statement about our commitment to the local community.”
Jokers’ Masquerade is in its third season of sponsoring the club and this new deal will extend the agreement throughout 2010 until the end of the 2011/2012 season.
