Keeping fitness fun

Added: (Tue Jan 24 2012)

Pressbox (Press Release) - January is full of promises of health eating and exercise but sometimes the thought of going to the gym or the same old aerobics class can be a bore.
There’s no need to have a drab fitness regime when the UK has facilities to give you an all round work out with all the benefits of having fun whilst getting fit.

Based in Hemel Hempstead, The Snow Centre is promoting their snow sports – snowboarding and skiing, for a new way to exercise for 2012.

Head of Snow Sports, Pete Gillespie, said, “It’s a really good aerobic exercise that improves your circulation and raises your heartbeat. It’s fantastic for toning your legs and buttock muscles and really works your core muscle groups as you need to balance and steer down the slopes.”
The centre offers affordable adult beginners and ladies only lessons for £169. This gives you 4 one and a half hour lessons which can be taken at various times.
Mr Gillespie added, “We have adult beginner lessons in the afternoons and ladies sessions in the morning as well coaching for particular techniques and levels of expertise.
“It’s easy to choose a lesson package that suits you best and we’re happy to advise if you’re not sure. A lot of our classes include a drink and a snack afterwards in The Edge café – so it’s a very friendly and sociable way to improve your fitness levels!”

The lessons are carried out by qualified instructors and you’ll be guaranteed a first class training experience at the UK’s only BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) Centre of Excellence.
With the closest thing to real snow in the centre of London, the centre boasts a 160m main slop combined with the UK’s largest indoor lesson slope suitable anytime of the year.
