A new indoor climbing wall has opened in Exmoor for those who are not afraid of great heights.
Such a facility has been opened by the Calvert Trust and includes a special ledge at the top from which climbers can secure themselves before they carry on, reports the North Devon Gazette.
Activities manager at the trust Oliver Jenkins stated that there is great fun to be had while embarking on a venture up the wall.
"People of all abilities can climb or be hoisted then enjoy the abseil down. It's another key piece of equipment that keeps people with disability fully engaged and challenged in all weathers," he commented to the publication.
The wall was created from resin and is 22ft high, while other realistic aspects of it include cracks and pockets.
People who can't get enough of climbing experiences may want to know that there are other rock climbing activities available.
Climbing dates back to the 19th century in certain parts of Europe and was pioneered in the UK.
