Toronto, Canada ¨C GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com) has released this rugged Mini optical light source which combines high performance with durability in an extremely small size package. The light source is widely used in telecom and CATV testing and maintenance and in fiber optics test labs. It features high stability of power output, stable wavelength output and high accuracy.
The mini optical light source, Model 08221, is light in weight, easy to use and cost-effective. It includes a small optional loss test kit and uses FP-LD emitter. Combined with mini optical power meter, the optical light source provides an efficient testing system for field work in fiber optic networks. The mini light source works continuously for forty hours with three 1.5V alkaline batteries. It supports operation in both single-mode fiber and for multi-mode fibers.
