Lewis Hamilton, the Formula One driver currently leading the world championship, has generated huge interest in the British Grand Prix next year.
Organisers have said that the UK driver has helped the sport to see more popularity in the country, with 10,000 tickets having already been sold for the event that is due to take place on July 6th.
This is double the amount of bookings taken up to the same stage in 2006 for this year's race, Silverstone Circuits commented.
Managing director of the company Richard Phillips stated that the driver has crated a massive buzz around the sport.
"Our ticket sales following his (Lewis Hamilton's) win in Japan were the highest since this year's British Grand Prix and double the daily average for September," he said.
He added that the driver is having a great impact on both the general public and the sport itself.
And for those who want to feel the energy of fast driving for themselves, there is the opportunity for a thrilling racing car ride.
The driver is in his first Formula One season and comes from Stevenage.
