On July 27th at St. Peters School, Solihull, The Dakota's Basketball Club are acting as temporary hosts to a group of children from Chernobyl. The Dakota's (Solihull Basketball Club) immediately offered their services when asked if they would be able to offer any assistance with a group of children coming from the Russian disaster area

In 1986 Chernobyl, USSR, (now Ukraine) suffered the worst Nuclear reactor disaster ever, when Chernobyl No 4 suffered from a nuclear meltdown. An area of approximately 10,900 square miles experienced radioactive contamination and 1.7 million people were exposed. A total of roughly 850,000 people still live in radioactive contaminated areas.

The Dakota's coaches and Under 18s Team have offered to give some free basketball coaching for three hours on Saturday 27th July from 11.30 - 1.15.
