Chelsea / Man U Fans Can Reach Moscow By Going Via Kiev, Ukraine

Added: (Fri May 02 2008)

With the predicted mass travel of Chelsea and Manchester United football supporters heading off to Moscow for the Champions League final on the May 21st it has been widely reported that travelling costs could go through the roof and getting there may become a problem as the fans are searching all possible modes of transport to get to Moscow. UK based Ukraine Connections who specialise in travel and tourism in Ukraine (neighbouring country to Russia) are offering alternative ways for the football supporters to get to Moscow which entails flying from the UK to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine and then getting the overnight sleeper train to Moscow. There are direct flights from Heathrow and Gatwick to Kiev or alternatively flights can be taken from Manchester and other UK cities with airlines like KLM to Kiev. The overnight sleeper train departs from Kiev at 20.09 and arrives in Moscow the following morning at 06.39. Return Kiev - Moscow - Kiev train ticket prices are £276.00 / person first class and £178.00 / person second class. For group bookings coaches can be arranged to transfer the football fans from Kiev's Boryspil Airport to Kiev Railway Station otherwise taxis can be found at the airport.

Citizens of the Europen Union countries including the UK do not need a visa to enter Ukraine if their stay in Ukraine does not exceed 90 days but visas will be needed to enter Russia from Ukraine.
