Pressbox (Press Release) -
A new and exciting site designed specifically for the Texas Longhorn Fan has now arrived. It is http://www.HookemClub.com . This site is going to be on the leading edge of communication for the Texas Longhorn fan.
"It is based on a script just like Myspace and allows the fans to create a profile page, download videos, discuss various topics in the forum and communicate with their friends. This is a social site and not just a forum. There will be so much more you can do and have so much more fun participating with others like you," said Glenn Newsome, Founder of http://www.HookemClub.com.
The site name HookemClub.com will be familiar to any Texas Longhorn fan.
The "hookem" refers to the long standing hand gesture used at various events, especially football games. It is also used on various social occassions for the Texas Longhorn fan to acknowledge each other.
Because we are online now and aimed at Texas Longhorn fans, we do expect and welcome rivial fans. Any real discussion cannot be one sided. The prospect of a little rivialry actually will be exciting and enjoyable for all on the site.
So to our rivals like Texas A & M, Oklahoma University and others, we say "bring it on". Really now, we will welcome you and hope you enjoy the site as much as we do.
This is an exciting time for Texas Longhorn fans and a new way to communicate each other.
