My school- my children my teacher and my friend

Inside Nepal Friendship Organisation spreads her wings in the city of Kathmandu and to the Valleys and passage of Plains

To tell of the work they do according to the needs of the people is second to none; since I first met asim he lives and works on two projects- One is called Happy Home for housing and educating orphaned children; the other is to select the right volunteers for the right people for the right reasons for the right location.
This as I soon found out is by no means an easy task.
It does help a great deal if all volunteers know what it is they wish to do- what they want from the list of projects-
In 2002 I found myself in Kathmandu in the month of October during a hot and stormy time.
It so happened that My School and my children and my friends were at INFO- Nepal and located in a area called Chitwan- There are many reasons why I called this mine- full of dedication and I made this teaching programme into a success.
During about 5 years volunteers have flocked in to see the sights expose themselves to hospitality and given advice and treat the sick.
In all honest most were aware of what to expect but many were not- leading up to the beginning and approaching the end of my programme but the frustration of not being able to stay longer really bothered me.
Despite having had a fantastic time full of spills and spoils and adventures and love and play it was time to leave.
I loved making that long journey there but not going back- oh so often I prayed to the lord give me a second helping of Nepal and he did- but twice wasn’t enough.
The place which brought me to Nepal once brought me back again and with full spake and full of zest.
Asim was delighted with me for making so much effort for the journey to the village wasn’t that easy nor were the flights needed to get me there-
I made some intenary of what I intended to do from the 28 February until the 12 of March of this year.
I combined it into 3 parts some coordinating some teaching and some trekking.
Fortunately just days before I arrived the strike which paralysed the country ended. If I had chosen to come a week before it wouldn’t have been possible to travel along the long journey to Chitwan to teach but when I made the journey with Asim it was well worth it.
I loved it every moment of it in the school with all my materials the drinking out of a filter to prevent me from getting sick and after making a long tiring journey to the village it was another one to Pockhara to climb part of the way to a base camp in the Arnaporna mountain range called the Sanctuary.
