Shaymaa Ewad is a young individual living in Khartoum, Sudan. Just 2 years after her birth, Shaymaa lost her father, However, Human Appeal International have supported her and her family for many many years.
Shaymaa’s story is extraordinary. She graduated from her school with the highest grade in the whole of Sudan- 96.6%- making her the country’s top student!
The Sudanese ministry honoured her achievements with a special ceremony. The education minister praised her for her hard work and HAI for its leading role in charitable work, adding: “Being an orphan should never make anyone feel undermined…”
Human Appeal International now sponsors Shaymaa through university, contributing to her university fees. At the same time she will continue participating in social projects, initiated by Human Appeal, helping other orphans like herself.
