NATIONAL WEBSITE GIVES LOCAL BUSINESSES FREE PUBLICITY

BritEvents.com, an online directory of events across England, Scotland and Wales has announced that for the next two months local businesses and event organisers can publicise details of forthcoming events on their website free of charge, giving them an additional platform for marketing and promoting the event to the widest possible audience.

During August and September, BritEvents.com are inviting businesses to supply event information to their website using a quick and easy online form, enabling them to announce their events to a growing amount of internet users who use the web to search for events in their area, such as days out, live gigs, theatre shows, sports events, exhibitions, craft fairs, car boot sales, and children's activities.

BritEvents.com admits that this free promotional offer is to further grow their database of events and to appeal to a greater reach within local communities. Founder Christopher Aycock commented "Whilst we have a lot of large, well-known events in the database, we increasingly find that our visitors want targeted information about local events in their surrounding area. Because of this need we decided to allow event organisers and businesses to supply details of their events to BritEvents.com free of charge so that we can offer a more local service. Whilst adding an event onto our database only normally costs £1, we feel that removing all costs for this period will in the short-term encourage more businesses and organisers to supply the information we need to satisfy our visitors, and then continue to use us to promote their events in the future. It's essentially a win-win situation for both us and the company who wants to promote their event on the web."

Event organisers who are interested in this offer should send a blank email to info@BritEvents.com with the subject line 'Free Promotion' for an access code and information on how to add their event to the directory.
