February 2, 2009 – Christina Pratt, founder of The Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing in Portland, OR, and New York, NY, teacher, and author of An Encyclopedia of Shamanism, will be talking with guest Martin Brennan about "The Call from Spirit" on her radio show Why Shamanism Now: A Practical Path to Authenticity.
Streaming live on the Voice America Network (www.voiceamerica.com) on Wednesday, February 4 at 2 p.m. Pacific time/5 p.m. Eastern time, Pratt and Brennan engage in a lively discussion about receiving The Call from Spirit. "One of the most important and powerful skills an individual can become aware of, cultivate, and practice is the ability to hear and follow Spirit's call," says Brennan, who believes everyone must be willing to experiment with his or her life. Furthermore, if you expect to listen to Spirit's guidance then you must be open to the unexpected and the illogical. And you must be willing to be scared every day and do it anyway.
Tune in and find out how Mr. Brennan got from divinity school to dancing on the bar in Las Vegas to training corporate leaders all as an expression of his shamanic practice. The conversation bears the question: What do you do when the knowing in your body and your "truth cord" lead you far, far away from your comfort zone?
