Help to fund a Holiday Centre for Children
Added: (Wed Aug 01 2001)
In 1985, The Duke of Westminster and a group of volunteers with a vision decided to establish a specialist centre for children who could not enjoy a break without help.
The Children's Adventure Farm is a totally self funding registered charity that offers FREE respite breaks to groups and organisations working with Terminally Ill, Chronically Sick, Disabled and Disadvantaged children aged 4-14 from anywhere in the United Kingdom.
Each year we have to raise in excess of £350,000 from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, Events and Public Donations to cope with the increasing demand for this service as the availability via Statutory Bodies diminishes.
Whilst with us the children enjoy many facilites, live in a 17th Century Farmhouse and are valued, heard and cared for whilst benefitting from ongoing care from the carers who come with them.
We are constantly seeking sources of support for the important work we do and should anyone be interest in helping us or want more information, please contact Stuart Lomas.
