Pacifist Author Questions Peace Prize for President: So, what would Michael Moore have to say about all this?
US President Barack Obama has just won the Nobel Peace Prize, but in his homeland and around the world he is receiving a tremendous amount of criticism for lack of leadership and broken promises on pulling out the troops in the Middle East, in particular Afghanistan. Once hailed as an innovator for change in America and around the world, political pundits and the public alike are chastising him for being a “turncoat.” That is, promising change and instead giving into the backroom power brokers who run the capitalistic machine. The news of his new prize, and with Michael Moore’s release of Capitalism: A Love Story, seem timely, argues author Dr. Nick Kollerstrom.
After all, the war on terrorism and the war in the Middle East have been front and centre in the collective public consciousness these days, there's no doubt about it. With Iran being the latest so- called threat to the Western world, author Dr. Kollerstrom wonders what courses of action governments will now take as a means to pursue military action in keeping with the capitalistic war bent minds to sooth ailing economies. Will governments — USA, UK and Canada — conspire terrorism attacks at the expense of innocent Muslims to achieve their goals to thwart an attack on Iran? Dr. Kollerstrom thinks this may be a harsh reality waiting to happen.
As a case in point, he refers to 9/11, which he suggests was great pretext for war and fascism in the USA. In his new book, Terror on the Tube: Behind the Veil of 7/7 (Progressive Press/2009), the he proves that London tube bombings brought Britain closer to an Orwellian police state and such terroristic actions were state planned as a means to further build support for its military presence in the Middle East.
While there are many accounts of 9/11, Dr. Kollerstrom’s new book is the first one to probe the London bombings on the morning of July 7, 2005. Since the book was launched recently, readers have been shocked at the real truth behind the horrific events of 7/7.
Dr. Kollerstrom, a science historian, forensically investigates the flaws and anomalies in the official account. He spent over three years working on his investigation.
Well researched and extensive, the book tears to shreds the official explanation of the 7/7 tube and bus bombings. Although some readers may not be too surprised to be told about a government cover-up, but Dr. Kollerstrom presents a detailed analysis based on a wealth of information that is staggering in its implications. On the evidence, the entire operation was a government conspiracy, while the accused Muslim youths were innocent. Was racism at play in all this? Dr. Kollerstrom thinks so.
Times, photographs, official statements are all subject to careful scrutiny that leaves nothing standing of the government’s narrative. Dr. Kollerstrom does admit that the full truth about 7/7 may never be known, and argues for a proper public enquiry.
He says, “After the biggest attack upon London since the Blitz, why is no public enquiry permitted? There are a lot of Londoners would like to share their memories, their grief and trauma. A growing number are suspicious of the official line accusing the young Muslims. Could they have done it, even had they wanted to? The Kingston Trial had them mucking around with hydrogen peroxide and black pepper in a bath – but whether that stuff would even go bang at all is doubtful. And how did Britain’s Prime Minister know on the very day of July 7th who had done it? This event is used to ratify Middle-East wars, and frame its people as terrorists. So it is desperately important for us to find the truth of what went on that day.”
Dr. Kollerstrom attempts a posthumous rehabilitation of the four lads from Leeds. So who did it? The author finds that ‘state-sponsored false-flag terror’ fits the facts. Webster Tarpley, a US analyst, stated in 2005: “Last week’s London explosions carry the characteristic features of state-sponsored, synthetic provocation by networks within the British intelligence services MI-5, MI-6, the Home Office, and the Metropolitan Special Branch who are favourable to a wider Anglo-American aggressive war in the Middle East.”
Kollerstrom also applies the ‘false-flag’ model to other medialized war pretexts: 9/11, Bali, Madrid, Istanbul and Mumbai bombings.
Well known authors, academics and social justice advocates find that Dr. Kollerstrom’s case is well-researched, impressive and provides ample evidence of a government plot on 7/7.
Dr. Kevin Barrett, a well known global expert on modern mythology, penned the introduction to the book. “Everyone who has been inconvenienced by the insane ‘no liquids or gels’ so-called security measures… needs to read Dr. Kollerstrom and weep… the West is being terrorized not by Muslims, but by the Western State apparatus itself,” says Barrett.
