Champions Club & Extraordinary Ones join forces

Added: (Mon Jun 28 2010)

Pressbox (Press Release) - Champions Club are pleased to announce that our organisation is to come together with the Leon Aarts led Extraordinary Ones foundation. We are confident that the pooling together of resources and people power can deliver fantastic results.

Previous to this the two organisations where working side by side, almost simultaneously trying to achieve similar objectives. There is no need to try anymore. This act of union not only makes lateral sense, it fundamentally permits more resources to be channelled into worthy and achievable goals.
It is a rational cultural move too. Champions Club is built on the truism that together we will all do better than any one of us could do alone, what better way to cement that goal in solid foundations than with Extraordinary Ones.
Extraordinary Ones ‘when we eat, they eat’ campaign focuses on making third world hunger a thing of the past – it fits the Champions Club truism like a glove.

The cost of a meal in the third world is 20p. You can donate 20p on a daily, weekly or monthly basis online. However why not endorse this innovative concept by embracing it at one of our ever increasing partner restaurants. If you see the Extraordinary Ones logo, 20p from your meal will go toward our campaign. 100% of that 20p will put a plate of food in front of hungry soul in the third world. It could not be simpler.

Together our goal initially is to have one million people contributing 20p on a daily basis. What a wonderful phenomena that would be, that one million people can put one million plates on the third world dining table. One million people giving their small change and contributing to meaningful change.
The list of restaurants who endorse this initiative is growing at a rapid speed, as is the overall awareness of the campaign. The concept has made the final three in the Barclays ‘Take One Step’ competition. The £50,000 prize would really propel the campaign to new levels. Please show your support for us by voting for us - https://www.takeonesmallstep.co.uk/Entry/View/5985 .

Furthermore Extraordinary Ones founder Leon Aarts is releasing a book. ‘Feeding People’ is Leon’s story. He asserts that the extent to which great and fulfilling change can be brought about is by how interconnected we can be. In ‘Feeding people’ Leon deals with that fundamental question, and how he has channelled it into Extraordinary Ones and beyond. It is an invitation to be a part of a future that Leon wants to shape.

Showing your support is easy. As previously stated you can support the campaign by contributing to it. You can also enact your support by voting for us in the Barclays ‘Take One Step’ competition - https://www.takeonesmallstep.co.uk/Entry/View/5985 . We are on the verge of shaping long lasting and meaningful change. It would be great if you could help us achieve that.
