Added: (Thu Feb 14 2002)

Pressbox (Press Release) - A new website promoting love and romance in Anglesey, North Wales, is helping people find their perfect match. Created by the island’s tourism association www.angleseyromance.com is encouraging people to flirt, giving flirting tips and ideas and inviting visitors to experience the magic of offshore romance. The initiative also includes a host of special offers and competitions for the romantic season including International Flirting Week (11-17 Feb).

Created in the USA for the new millennium, International Flirting Week celebrates the ancient art of flirting, recognizing the important role it plays in the lives of singles seeking a mate, couples looking to sustain their love and those of us simply exchanging playful glances with strangers, acquaintances or colleagues.

For those of you that already have someone special to share Valentine’s day with then www.angleseyromance.com can also help!

Featured on the website are a novel range of romantic special offers and incentives for that romantic break on Anglesey, including 2 nights for the price of 1 at hotels, discounted meals at restaurants, free entry to attractions and free gifts.

Coming soon on the website is the opportunity for you to win a variety of Valentine goodies and prizes for that special someone, with opportunities to take them on a romantic break.

The Island of Anglesey has traditionally been a romantic honeymoon destination, as well as home to many a holiday romance. During the 1950s and 1960s it enjoyed enormous cachet amongst visitors from North West England, the Borders, Wales and Ireland.

Just how much of the island’s attraction can be attributed to it’s association with Santes Dwynwen, the patron saint of lovers, is a matter of conjecture, but the fact is that Anglesey occupies a special place in many people’s hearts and minds as exceptionally tranquil and romantic.

Finally, the website’s FREE bilingual (Welsh/English) E-Love cards are available to send to the one you love on Valentine’s Day – or any other day!
