1,500 Holiday Cottages Added To Review Website in First Month

A new holiday cottage review website has got off to a flying start as owners of the best holiday cottages rush to add their self catering properties.
MyCottageHoliday.co.uk, the independent holiday cottage and self catering review website, was only launched in January this year but has proved to be an instant hit. Over 1,500 property details have been added to the site already and there is no sign of a slow down.
"We're impressed with the number of cottages being added to the site." says Andy Brown, the editor of MyCottageHoliday. "We knew an independent holiday cottage review site was a good idea but it has become popular very quickly.”
"We set the site up with holidaymakers in mind, but it seems that property owners can see the benefits too." says Brown. "Owners of the best cottages want reviews – it enhances their reputation. They are adding their properties to the site and will be encouraging their visitors to add reviews of their property on MyCottageHoliday.co.uk”
“If a cottage holiday visitor leaves a good review for a property then other visitors to the site know that this is a genuinely impartial view. All the reviews we receive appear on MyCottageHoliday.co.uk, so people using the site know they are getting the whole picture."
Adrian Innocent, Marketing Manager of Helpful Holidays, explains why they are starting to add their portfolio of cottages. "We get great feedback from our customers but if we post glowing comments on our own site people will always suspect that we have just posted the good ones. Because MyCottageHoliday.co.uk is independent, holidaymakers know we have not been able to pick and choose the comments that get shown. This is the kind of third party testimonial we couldn’t get elsewhere".
Owners are not able to decide which reviews are shown, but they are able to add an 'Owner's Reply' to any review of their property. Property owners can use this to address any concerns that may have been raised in a review.
New cottage details are being added to the site all the time. A further 1,000 properties are expected to be added to MyCottageHoliday.co.uk during the next few weeks as more cottage owners and visitors prepare for the coming holiday season.
