When talking about to Greek myths of Hercules and the Amazon, the Muslim commentators of these legend grecolatinas, located the island of the Amazonians in Ÿauf al-Andalus, which is possible to interpret like "inside the region of Andalusia", to which such authors denominate like Ÿazirat al-Andalus (island of Andalus). Andalus was the name that the Arabs gave - in a principle all the peninsula of Iberia.

According to Attabari, to the north of Morocco, in Ÿazirat al-Andalus or "island of Andalus", existed the city of Andalus; city that was covered with golden brass.

The investigator and scientific atlantologist Georgeos Diaz-Montexano, defends that this testimony of the Arab authors is sustained in a tradition on the island of Atlantis or Atlantida described by Plato, whose main city or the Acropolis was covered with brass and oreichalkós, a metal species of copper gilded, similar to gold.

The Arab sources still demonstrate that in the heat of Medieval Age, Iberia was considered like a great island or peninsula (Ÿazirat) and like this was identified with a same island or peninsula that had a city covered by a type of brass of gilded color, that only could be the same island or peninsula (Nêsos) that Plato denominates Atlantis or Atlantida.
