Successful North American Product Launch Prompts Saw Instruments to Extend sam®X Early Adopter Price

Pressbox (Press Release) - Bonn, Germany – 15th December 2011: SAW Instruments, developer of the innovative sam® family of biosensors for real-time, label-free assays using living cells, has extended the price promotion surrounding the launch of its new sam®X biosensor. The promotion was so successfully received at the recent North American launch of the product (held at the IBC Antibody Engineering and Antibody Therapeutics meeting in San Diego) that SAW Instruments has decided to make the offer available across Europe and North America. If ordered before the end of 2011, the new system can be obtained at a special early adopter price.

As the high-end member of the sam® family of acoustic biosensors, the new sam®X is designed to offer even greater workflow flexibility and high-throughput capability when analysing molecular interactions on the surface of living mammalian cells. Using Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology, the sam® systems represent an evolution in the way such interactions are measured, producing accurate data much faster than can be achieved using similar equilibrium based approaches.
