A new science campus at Oxfordshire’s largest mixed use business community, Milton Park, has begun providing business accommodation for early stage science and technology companies with two organisations already moved in.
The science campus at 154 Milton Park, which was completed at the end of last year, is already proving popular with two units let despite the current economical climate.
* Reprographics company Hobbs Reprographics has expanded from elsewhere on Milton Park, finding ideal business accommodation with 3,000 sq ft at the campus.
* Audio visual specialist Design Integration has taken nearly 2,500 sq ft of accommodation at 154 Milton Park, moving into the area due to excellent transport links and amenities.
Based at Milton Park one of the UK’s foremost science communities, with excellent transport links, the science campus is ideally placed to cater for growing technology companies, with flexible, affordable and desirable business accommodation.
The new campus has been designed with science companies in mind and is suitable for a variety of uses including laboratories, offices, storage, delivery and research and development. The flexible campus comprises a total of 30,000 sq ft of accommodation that can be let in a range of units from 1,085 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft.
Set in attractively landscaped gardens, 154 Milton Park will provide occupiers with flexible and functional business accommodation. Outside, the use of materials such as steel and timber will give a ‘modern campus feel’ whilst the frontage of each unit will have a floor-to-roof-height ‘timber fin’ along with be plenty of opportunities for exterior branding.
The campus has been designed to facilitate a variety of uses, and can be fitted out to the bespoke needs of each occupier. Double entrance doors with roller shutters will provide delivery access, and ‘soft zones’ in the roof allow easy laboratory fit out. Part glazed and rendered elevations meet high standards of thermal insulation, and translucent roofing materials ensure each unit is light and airy.
James Dipple, managing director of Milton Park commented: “The diverse mix of businesses currently at home on Milton Park has created a genuine centre of excellence for science and technology. We are keen to work with companies of all sizes to help them reach their full potential, and the new science campus at 154 Milton Park will help support growing companies with flexible and cost-effective accommodation in one of the UK’s most vibrant business and science communities.”
