Pressbox (Press Release) - New review journal for Postharvest Biology and Technology

A new e-Journal, Stewart Postharvest Review, has been launched to provide scientists in academia, industry, government, and institutions with an essential resource for keeping up to date with developments in postharvest research. The scope of the journal includes quality, economics and marketing, handling, packaging and transport, engineering and electronics in postharvest technology, storage, ripening and senescence, spoilage, deterioration and losses and drying.

The Journal is unique in combining a summary of advances in each topic with expert commentary from international authors on new research articles and suggestions for future research. Each article also contains references highlighted for their importance accompanied by an annotation explaining the article’s importance.

Published bimonthly by Stewart Postharvest Solutions (UK) Ltd, the launch issue of the Journal will be published on 01 June 2005. Ensuring a comprehensive coverage of both industrial and academic focus are Editor Professor Vijaya Raghavan and Associate Editor Dr Valerie Orsat of the Department of Bioresource Engineering at McGill University in Montreal.

All journal articles will be presented in PDF and HTML formats and will be free to print or download from the website.
