The Sound of GIS in Salzburg
The beautiful world cultural heritage city of Salzburg is the setting for the second Geoinformatics Forum (GI_Forum) symposium from July 01-04, 2008 at Salzburg University Centre for Geoinformatics (ZGIS), Austria. The interdisciplinary GI_Forum focuses on an international GIScience audience, communicating in English, and sharing an interest in translating new methods and techniques into a broad range of application domains in geoinformatics. Young researchers and established scientists will find a vibrant GI community from academia, industry, and government to analyze progress and to explore new research directions. The symposium is co-located with the highly regarded German language conference on Applied Geoinformatics (AGIT), sharing the innovative AGIT EXPO exhibit, and great social events. Annually attended by more than 1000 visitors and 60-70 exhibitors, AGIT is the largest GIScience event in central Europe. For more information and detailed programme please visit the conference website or write to office@gi-forum.org
