e-district sign extended agreement with Telewest

e-district, the interactive TV entertainment company, announce today the signature of a new agreement with Telewest. Under the terms of the new agreement, e-district will launch a series of additional, original and licensed pay-per-play and subscription games over Telewest’s digital TV network in the coming months.

e-district will also extend and enhance the existing LeisureDistrict community service, providing subscription-based chat and other messaging services.

Chris Townsend, Telewest’s Director of e-Commerce and Interactive Services, comments, “We are delighted to announce this extended partnership with e-district. These products form an important part of our wider strategy in creating the strongest possible games proposition for Telewest Digital TV subscribers”. Townsend adds, “in building the LeisureDistrict community, e-district has shown great innovation in building a strong and loyal interactive TV following; the addition of multi-player and other premium games will certainly appeal to our customers”.
