'Wedding Survey 2005' - Available To Media From The UK Alliance of Wedding Planners

Pressbox (Press Release) - Weddings change every year so the annual UKAWP Wedding Survey, launched on 9th May 2005, is designed to find out more about the highs and lows, good bits and bad bits of wedding planning as experienced by current brides-to-be. The survey is conducted by the UK Alliance of Wedding Planners, a growing group of some of the best wedding planners in the UK.

The survey will be completed by hundreds of brides and as responses to the questionnaire are completely anonymous, the data gathered will be the most up-to-date snapshot of weddings and bridal habits in the UK. The closing date for completed forms is Friday 30th September and results will be published mid October. Results will be available to the media/venues/suppliers who request them in order to provide future brides with better service and products. Weddings are becoming more and more newsworthy so the opportunity to have accurate, recent statistics from ‘real’ brides is not to be missed.

Bernadette Chapman, co-founder of the UKAWP, says “Many companies in the wedding industry quote that it takes 250 hours to plan a wedding, but are these results still accurate? We want to know exactly how long and how brides are planning.” “Brides are now far more aware of trends and they all want their wedding to be unique” adds co-founder Tamryn Kirby, “so where do they find that perfect favour or brilliant photographer and more importantly, how long did it take to choose it?”.
