The Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (UCKG) believes in the potential of secular media to reach those in need of guidance and life assistance.
Sponsored TV & Radio Programs are for sure an instrument to achieve exactly that. On the past 13th July, Bishop Wellington from the UCKG in Liverpool was invited to provide a word of faith to faithful listeners of 2MCR FM, Sydney West Radio Station.
Living Gospel Show, which is hosted by Philip Roberts every Wednesday evening on 100.3FM, had some thoughtful and inspiring messages provided by Bishop Wellington where listeners could learn how to use faith to reach God’s providence against problems such as family conflicts and lack of life direction.
Speaking to the listeners, the Bishop aired the necessity in bringing in God’s presence to deal with the hardcore of life situations where no friends or money can help with. A helpline number was given where listeners could phone in to include their names in the prayer book and get more information about UCKG services.
“One particular listener said he was about to go out to buy some heroine when he got into his car and started listening to the radio program. He mentioned the message together with the prayer made him return home without drugs. On that evening he slept the whole night and phoned the Church on the next day describing his previous night ordeal. He told us how he had tried everything and everyone with no success and was now willing to use the power of faith to defeat his addiction problem”, said the Bishop.
