Travel writer Julian Smith has launched a new website, http://www.juliansmith.com, featuring guidebooks to Ecuador, Virginia, and the Four Corners region of the American Southwest.

Moon Handbooks Ecuador, Moon Handbooks Virginia, and Moon Handbooks Four Corners are part of the acclaimed guidebook series by Avalon Travel Publishing. Each Handbook provides detailed, comprehensive information for travelers of all budgets and interests.
Each guidebook covers hotels, restaurants, history, outdoor activities, and sidebars on topics from Galapagos wildlife and mountaineering to buried treasure and the Civil War. Each book page links to a photo gallery, a page of other interesting links, and Amazon.com to purchase the books.

Other slideshow galleries on www.juliansmith.com showcase photos of Bolivia, Cuba, and grizzly bears on the coast of British Columbia. Links are included to articles Julian has written for the Washington Post, National Geographic Traveler, and a wide range of other publications.

Julian Smith currently lives in Washington, DC, where he edits Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment, an international scientific journal he helped launch in February 2003.
