Tourist arrivals in country increased by 12.7 percent

Pressbox (Press Release) - According to latest figures released by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture the tourist arrivals in the country has increased by 12.7 percent this year, maintaining a double-digit growth. However, the growth this year is comparatively less when compared to the 13.6 rise in tourist arrivals in 2006 over the preceding year. Last year, the number fell short of four million mark with 39,05,596 foreigners visiting India.
