Gearing up for the “Greatest Online Information Show on Earth”
At Online Information 2001, the French Information Industry Association (GFII) will be present on stand 76, with the support of UBIFRANCE, the French Trade Commission in London and the French Ministry of Research.
The GFII will demonstrate a range of French electronic information activities, with some of its members : Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris, Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle, Institut de l'Information scientifique et technique, La Documentation Française, Sensoria, Winwise...
The GFII organizes also a study trip for the French information managers.
The GFII will be present as previous years at Online Information 2001 in order to promote the French Information Industry. The French professional association of business-to-business electronic information providers and users gathers public and private organizations, circa ninety members. The participation at international specialized exhibitions helps the French Industry to valorize French electronic information and to develop its activities abroad through product presentations.
The GFII co-organizes with UBIFRANCE a French pavilion, by supplying French companies a ready-to-use stand. The GFII and the French Ministry of Research propose product presentations illustrating French innovative technologies.
The results of a GFII study, realized for the French Ministry of Research, will be also presented : data and analyses on the French market of business-to-business electronic information.
At the same time, GFII organizes a study trip allowing 40 information professionals (producers, editors, information managers, journalists, …) to discover the latest developments in the information industry. This trip includes visits, stand presentations at Online Information exhibition and two lectures.
On the 5th of december, in Novotel West, two French experts, Michel Vajou (MV Conseil) and Stéphane Chaudiron (French Ministry of Research, University of Paris X Nanterre) will comment the exhibition novelties. On the 6th of december, GFII organizes a half-day conference and discussion on the theme: "Mergers & acquisitions in the information industry : which stakes ? which risks ?"
Online Information 2001 will be held in December this year.
More than 350 companies at the very cutting edge of information technology will gather in the Olympia exhibition centre in London in what has become over the last quarter of a century the largest single show of its kind in the world.
The exhibition and conference, Online Information 2001, is once again being staged by Oxford-based Learned Information on 4th-6th December.
