The concept of Star Auction is very unique. It is a mix of entertainment, shownews, auctions, catwalk and charity. The viewer will not only be updated with the hottest gossip from showbizz, but can also place biddings on the special donated items by celebrities, supporting charity!

Short introduction:

Star Auction is a new multichannel format from the Netherlands. Key-words are; entertainment, show-news, charity, celebrities, auctions and a live audience. It does not matter whether you are in the studio or at home.

Star Auction is for everybody, no matter where you are!

The Concept:

The ingredients of this multichannel format are;
The Star Auction TV episodes
The Star Auction Host
The Star Auction Internet website
The Star Auction Team
The Star Auction Communication Center
The Star Auction Charity Gala
The Star Auction Season Check
The Star Auction Charity Fund
The Star Auction Bank Account

Every week an episode of Star Auction will be aired. During this live 40 minute show the Star Auction Host will bring the viewer up-to-date of the (inter)national glitter and glamour in showbizz! What is happening during premieres and fashion-shows. Who was invited and who was not! Furtheron The Star Auction Host, together with The Star Auction Team, will visit every week (inter)national stars during their filming, recording or just at home. Objective is to convince them to give away valuable items for charity. Will the Star Auction Host and the Star Auction Team succeed in their mission?

But is goes much further than that! The viewers can mail, send text-messages or phone with The Star Auction Communication Center; just to let The Star Auction Team know what the viewer's choice would be to get from the (inter)national celebrities.

During the week The Star Auction team will collect lots of items. The Star Auction Team will find ways to contact celebrities and convince them to help out The Star Auction Charity Fund. The moment the item is in the possession of The Star Auction Team, it will be put online. All these efforts of The Star Auction Team will be shown during the weekly Star Auction TV Episodes.

During The Star Auction TV Episodes, the Star Auction Host welcomes 4 different (inter)national stars, each with different items, different background stories and different reasons to support The Star Auction Charity Fund. From the moment on the celebrity gives away his or her item, the viewer can start bidding.

The bidding is done online. A special Star Auction Website will give viewers the oppertunity to search for valuable items or participate in one or more on-going bidding processes. The Star Auction Team will control The Star Auction Communication Center. The viewer can contact The Star Auction Team trough e-mail, 0900-number or text-message(s).

The biddings can also be done through text-messages and the Star Auction 0900-number. The higher viewers do their bidding, the more other viewers have to bid in order to get their favourite Star Auction-item. Our Star Auction Team will be present 24/7 in the Star Auction Communication Center to regulate all biddings.

The Star Auction Website will be filled on a daily base with valuable items of the (inter)national stars and all items will be auctioned for maximum of two weeks. The Star Auction team will be exploring oppertunities to get hold on celebrities and get their valuable items, of course, without payment.

In every Star Auction TV Episode there will be one special item. A celebrity gives away his oscar or other special item, which The Star Auction Team got. During The Star Auction TV Episode the highest bidding will get this valuable item. The bidding is live and can be followed on-screen. Imagine, a very nice golden record of a favourit artist for no less than 100 dollars and only 5 minutes in the show. But wait, another viewer is bidding more, 110 dollars, what to do, make it 115 dollars....and up and up it goes!

The Star Auction TV episode will have 4 celebrities every episode with their item(s), get their story about this valuable item. During the Star Auction Episodes also live performances, showbizz news and charity. Also the viewer will witness the efforts of The Star Auction Team when they visit international superstars, will The Star Auction Team succees. The Star Auction Host visits the celebrities that the viewers selected in order to get their valuables. All for The Star Auction Charity Fund!

Everything that is earned through the biddings will be donated to charity. Every season will have one specific charity. On The Star Auction Website viewers can find more information about this charity and the amount of money which has been collected so far. Special donations are welcome on The Star Auction Bank Account.

The end of The Star Auction Season is finished with a Star Auction Gala Event. This event contains a Star Auction Catwalk, special detail is that the celebrities will show their items during this Star Auction Gala theirselves. If it is a dress, smoking, golden record, oscar or just what so ever, they will walk the catwalk. Just to show you, to make you place a bidding!

The evening will be complete when (inter)national artists perform live. The Star Auction Gala Event raises extra money for The Star Auction Fund. At the end of this event a Star Action Check with the total money of all Star Auction TV Episodes of that season including the money of the fundraiser Star Auction Gala Event will be handed over to a spokesman.
