Galaxy Radio launches new social networking site...

Global Radio’s Galaxy has launched its own dating site, ‘Get my mate a date’, this week.
Designed for Galaxy's core 20-something audience, it works by friends nominating potential partners and playing matchmaker. Other features on the site include live chats, video chats, the uploading of photo or videos albums, setting quizzes for potential dates and the ability to personalise one’s personal profile page.
Getmymateadate users will be able to listen live to Galaxy radio while online. On-air features will also support the launch of the site.
Paul Coleman, Galaxy brand director said: "We have been looking at the world of social networks for some time now and have chosen to explore the popular world of dating. We believe that the Getmymateadate site will offer users a fun experience with many added features, which are not available on other dating sites."
