Frameboxx to support Armaan Chopra’s debut ‘My Name is Kkhanna’

Young director, Armaan Chopra from Mumbai is in the city for location hunting for his first debut directorial venture ‘My Name is Kkhanna’.
Armaan Chopra, who got rare honor to screen his debut short film, ‘God is Dead’ at Cannes 2011, intends to have four Oscar winning Hollywood technicians on board including, Bruce Logan, the cinematographer of ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Tron’ fame, Barney Burman, the make-up artist of ‘Star Trek’.
Frameboxx would be providing the logistic supports and post-production facilities including visual effects for the movie, informed Mr Naveen Gupta, CEO and Executive Director of Frameboxx Animation and Visual Effects.
The song sequences would showcase world class visual effects and digital graphics which would be supervised by a Hollywood VFX specialist, along with Frameboxx’s VFX specialist Chintan, informed Armaan.
He said that the team of specialists from Hollywood would also be interacting with the students of Frameboxx to showcase and train them in latest techniques during the time they would be in the city.
Armaan who is an MBA from Bangalore, was bitten by the film bug right at a time when he was four years old and got inspired through Spielberg’s ‘ET’ and Star Wars. After completing his studies he shifted to Mumbai and happened to meet Jonathan Demme , director of Bruce Springsteen's "Murder Incorporated", who invited him over to Los Angeles, where he interned as his assistant to learn the basics.
Later Bruce Logan’s cinematography led his debut short film ‘God is Dead’ to be selected for premier at the Cannes, he added.
Though Armaan was signed immediately by Bunty Walia for a super hero film ‘Anghad’, which is at the preliminary stage, but he intends to complete his debut bollywood masala flick, ‘My Name is Kkhanna’ next year.
“I intend to go on the floor by April next year and have plans to release it around Diwali”, he quipped.
The movie to be shot in and around Chandigarh, and Panjab, is a light hearted comedy that revolves around four friends from the region who land in Mumbai to try their luck in the film industry, Armaan informed.
